Owner / Captain of the Anna R, Captain “Pao” is a seasoned mariner, voyaging as far as Nova Scotia and Honduras on traditionally rigged sailing vessels working with passengers, students, and professional crews. For much of the last 13 years he has captained wooden sailing vessels in Maine’s Penobscot Bay. A graduate of Maine Maritime Academy, he is skilled in traditional and modern navigation techniques. He also holds a license valid for use on all but the very largest sailing vessels. Most recently Captain “Pao” has been Captaining the 136′ schooner Roseway for the World Ocean School on voyages from New England to the Caribbean.
